Southern Sports Promotions, LLC Return To Play Guidelines
Southern Sports Promotions will support, implement, and comply with all elements of the Governors Executive Order in conjunction with our park facility partners. Our policy includes, but is not limited to, the following guidelines.
➢ All coaches and player parent(s) must sign a COVID-19 waivers prior to participation in a Southern Sports event.
➢ CDC guidelines, Georgia Executive Order, and those developed by the park facilities, must be followed by everyone that is in attendance at a Southern Sports event.
➢ Southern Sports officials, along with county park officials, reserve the right to remove from the park anyone who does not adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines stated in this document.
Enter/Exit of Teams and Fans
➢ Schedules have been designed with 30 minute breaks between games.
➢ All parents/fans/players/coaches must exit the area near the field immediately after games. Once the team’s post game informational meeting has concluded, everyone must vacate the park facility until the team’s next scheduled game.
➢ Teams and fans should not be present at the designated field more than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled game time. In addition, you must allow the previous game’s players, coaches, and fans to move away from their field.
➢ Fans and Parents are restricted from the bleachers at all times. Parents must social distance from other families. Immediate family members may congregate together. Under tents, only members
of the same family are allowed under each tent.
➢ 50 or less persons (players/coaches/parents) are allowed in the field of play, this includes playing surface and dugouts. Dugouts are restricted to everyone with the exception if “pass thru” from
the bleachers to the field is required.
➢ Prior to the start of the game, home plate meeting will only include umpires and head coach from each team. This will be done while social distancing.
➢ At the conclusion of the game, teams will not come together for any reason (i.e. hand shake, prayers, etc.) A simple tip of the cap, or wave from each baseline will be considered good
➢ All awards will be given to head coaches of each team after championship games, and given to players by coaches once dugouts/bleacher area is cleaned and vacated.
➢ There will be no pre-game warm-ups outside the field of play. Only exception is pre-game batting practice in the cages. One coach and one player are allowed in each batting cage. Remainder of the team should observe social distancing that is enforced by team’s coaches. On the field during pre-game, no more than 11 players/coaches from each team. AT ALL TIMES,
we can never have more that 25 individuals on the field.
➢ Dugouts are restricted. Any player who is not physically on the field of play must social distance in the bleacher area. This includes the team who is batting. A coach will manage this area for the
➢ Players should use their own equipment. Players can place equipment bags in their designated area, and not in any portion of the dugout. The defensive team will utilize their own baseballs
when they are on the field.
➢ No team coolers are allowed. Players should bring their own hydration, and keep it with their equipment. All equipment is to be kept within equipment bags.
➢ After each game, the teams must clean dugouts and bleacher area prior to leaving the area.
➢ After cleaning dugout and bleacher area, all teams must vacate the area immediately. Post game meetings can be completed in the parking lot, or in another area away from fields.
➢ All players should bring hand sanitizer
